Niecy Nash is set to guest star in two upcoming episodes of The Rookie. The episodes will be used as backdoor pilots to a potential spinoff of the ABC series. Similar to the premise of The Rookie, Nash will play the oldest rookie in the FBI Academy. The potential new series would create a shared universe. In the first backdoor episodes, Officer John Nolan and the LA division of the FBI enlist the help of FBI trainee Simone Clark when one of her former students is suspected of terrorism following an explosion at a local power station.

Fox has acquired Gumby from the estate of Joseph Clokey, son of creator Art Clokey. They obtained all rights to the popular franchise, including film, television and streaming, consumer products, licensing, publishing and all other categories. In addition, FOX has acquired the full library of Gumby animated series, specials, movies and content, which will expand Tubi’s current offerings of the franchise.

Cartoon Network is set to air Cartoon Network Special Edition: NBA All-Star Slam Dunk Contest Presented by Nike on February 20.
