The fifth FLCL series FLCL: Shoegaze premieres on adult swim’s Toonami block September 30. The new series picks up after the events of the third season, FLCL: Alternative. While everyone returns to their ordinary lives, two frustrated teenagers concoct a plot to destroy the Tsuganei tower in the hopes that it will incite change. The season will consist of three episodes.

Doom Patrol’s fourth and final season returns to Max October 12. In the final episodes, the Doom Patrol meet old friends and foes as they race to defeat Immortus and get back their longevities. Battling between saving the world and each other, the Doom Patrol are forced to face their deepest fears and decide if they are ready to let go of the past in order to take their future into their own hands… and away from the zombie butts. 

Season three of Upload premieres on Prime Video October 20 with two episodes weekly. The eight episode season picks back up with Nora and freshly downloaded Nathan as they navigate their relationship, while racing to stop the mysterious conspiracy that threatens to destroy millions of lives. Can they shut down Freeyond, and finally have a real life together? Or is it just a matter of time until Nathan’s head explodes? Meanwhile, in Lakeview, a backup copy of Nathan has been activated and Ingrid’s not about to let this second chance at love slip away. Back in the real world, Aleesha rises through the ranks of Horizen by managing AI education, and falls into a new romantic relationship. And Luke, all alone in Lakeview, is forced to come up with the funds to pay for his stay in paradise, driving him to work in The Grey Zone. 

Limited series Griselda is coming soon to Netflix. The series starring Sofia Vergara is inspired by the life of the savvy and ambitious Griselda Blanco, who created one of the most profitable cartels in history. In 1970s-80s Miami, Blanco’s lethal blend of unsuspected savagery and charm helped her expertly navigate between business and family, leading her to become widely known as “the Godmother.” 

Season two of The Santa Clauses premieres on Disney+ November 8 with two episodes. The Calvin family is back at the North Pole, as Scott Calvin continues his role as Santa Claus after his retirement plans were thwarted when he failed to find a worthy successor in season one. Now that Scott and his family have successfully saved Christmas, Scott turns his focus towards training his son Cal to eventually take over the “family business” as Santa Claus. 

Peacock has announced the cast for the upcoming second season of The Traitors. Hosted by Alan Cumming and his dog Lala, and set in a remote castle deep in the Scottish Highlands, the series sees 21 larger-than-life personalities come together to compete in a series of challenges with the objective of earning a cash prize of up to $250,000. The catch? The contestants coined “the Traitors” will devise a plan to steal the prize from the other contestants coined “the Faithful.” Taking part in season two are Carsten “Bergie” Bergersen, Chris ‘C.T.’ Tamburello, Dan Gheesling, Deontay Wilder, Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, Janelle Pierzina, Johnny “Bananas” Devenanzio, John Bercow, Kevin Kreider, Larsa Pippen, Marcus Jordan, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, Mercedes “MJ” Javid, Parvati Shallow, Peppermint, Peter Weber, Phaedra Parks, Sandra Diaz-Twine, Shereé Whitfield, Tamra Judge, and Trishelle Cannatella. 

CBS has made some changes to its upcoming Fall schedule. Buddy Games will have a special airing on September 28 at 8 instead of its previous time of 9. Big Brother will follow at 9 with The Challenge: USA at 10. NCIS: Sydney will now air on a new day and time, premiering Tuesday, November 14 at 8 instead of the previously announced airdate on Mondays. Encores of NCIS will follow at 9 with FBI True moving an hour later to a new time period at 10. 

NBC’s newest America’s Got Talent spinoff series will be titled AGT: Fantasy League. The series will see Mel B join returning judges Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum and Howie Mandel with Terry Crews as host. Similar to a fantasy sports draft, the judges will each choose a roster of their favorite acts picking from winners, finalists, viral sensations and fan favorites from America’s Got Talent and Got Talent franchises around the world, all pre-selected by America in an initial vote. The judges will be competing alongside the contestants and will mentor and guide the acts throughout the competition with the hopes of earning bragging rights and seeing an act from their team crowned the champion. 

Dancing with the Stars may be postponed due to the ongoing strikes. Celebrity contestant Matt Walsh announced he will no longer compete in the series as the writers strike continues, as he is a WGA member. It was revealed the series was in fact a WGA series. No official postponement has been made by ABC at the moment. 

Friday Night SmackDown returns to USA Network in a new five year agreement. The series will leave Fox and join the USA Network lineup starting October 2024. Additionally, beginning in the 2024/25 season, WWE will produce four primetime specials per year that will air on NBC, marking the first time WWE will air on the network in primetime. WWE Monday Night Raw and WWE NXT will continue to air on USA Network through September 2024. 

Basketball Wives: LA and new series Basketball Wives: Orlando premiere back to back October 9 on VH1. Basketball Wives returns for its 11th season with new and returning cast members. After a season hiatus, original cast member Evelyn Lozada returns to the court, rejoining the all-star lineup of MVPs Jackie Christie, Jennifer Williams, and Brooke Bailey, along with a guest appearance from executive producer Shaunie Henderson. New to the roster are Brittany Renner, Vanessa Rider, Jac’Eil Duckworth and Clayanna Warthen. Basketball Wives: Orlando stars Ashley Snell, Danielle Miller, Lyndzie Marble, Mackenzie Hyatt, Mehgan James, Morgan Bledsoe, Mulan Hernandez, Nique Brown, and Nikki Nicole. These young, ambitious entrepreneurs, socialites, entertainers, and philanthropists are here to make a name for themselves by any means necessary. 

Crime drama series A Nearly Normal Family premieres on Netflix November 24. The series is based on the book of the same name by Swedish author Mattias Edvarsson. The Sandell family is a normal family consisting of the priest Adam, the lawyer Ulrika and their 19-year-old daughter Stella. They live a seemingly perfect life in a polished residential suburb outside of Lund. One day, everything changes when Stella ends up in custody, accused of murder. Her devastated parents don’t know what to do. What has happened? They want to help Stella at any cost, but do they really know their daughter? Or each other? 

The CW has ordered true crime series Crime Nation. The ten episode series is set to redefine the true crime genre, as each thrilling two-hour episode will delve deep into a riveting true crime sensation that has captured the attention of the nation including the Delphi murders, the Lori Vallow Daybell case, the Gabby Petito murder and the Gilgo Beach murders. Each episode will reveal new details about these stories through expert analysis, exclusive reporting and never before seen interviews. The series will also dive into the world of social media by talking to crime enthusiasts, social media sleuths, podcasters and digital detectives who in some instances have used their network to help solve cases. Prepare to join the conversation, solve the mysteries, and uncover the truth along with the Crime Nation team. 

Doona! premieres on Netflix October 20. A college student navigates life and school while dealing with a unique predicament – he’s living with a beautiful former K-pop idol. Doona, having left her celebrity days behind, crosses paths with the tenacious Won-jun in a picturesque shared house. Their dynamic oozes intrigue, as Doona’s candid emotions both enchant and perplex Won-jun. With Lee Jung-hyo’s masterful direction, viewers can expect an emotionally gripping journey. 

In honor of Disney’s 100th anniversary, ABC is celebrating the iconic moment with an evening of magical programming hosted by Kelly Ripa. The Wonderful World of Disney: Disney’s 100th Anniversary Celebration! will air October 15. The lineup that will include exclusive moments featuring Ripa and sneak peeks of upcoming Disney projects. The special program will also feature the world broadcast premieres of the new animated short film, Once Upon a Studio, and the beloved feature Encanto.

Docuseries Big Vape: The Rise and Fall of Juul premieres on Netflix October 11. The series tells the high-drama, rags-to-riches story of the controversial electronic cigarette company Juul which transformed from a scrappy Silicon Valley tech start-up run by two idealistic Stanford graduate students intent on making the world a better place into a multi-billion-dollar tobacco company that sparked an epidemic of youth addiction and lung disease. 

Serenata de las Estrellas premieres on The Roku Channel October 13. Hosted by Julissa Bermudez, some of the biggest names in Latin music surprise deserving members of the community with once-in-a-lifetime concerts in unexpected locations. From church fundraisers to taquerias, no place is off-limits for these pop-up performances, with real people, real stars, and real surprises. 

Season four of Scissor Seven is streaming now on Netflix. After an intense battle, a severely wounded Seven must bounce back to defend Chicken Island and his friends from another ruthless Shadow assassin.

The Retreat is streaming now on Crackle. During a vulnerable moment at an all Black women’s artist retreat, guest speaker Cynthia Chadwick reveals a dangerous secret about her past to a small group of women. The next morning, Cynthia has disappeared and her unlucky confidants, Pamela, Dana, and Bea are each given a wad of hundreds in exchange for signing a non-disclosure agreement that forbids any mention of Cynthia’s presence at the retreat. The series picks up one year later, as Pamela’s soon-to-be-published book of memoirs threatens to expose what happened at the retreat. As scandalous rumors about Cynthia begin to circulate in the news and on social media, it’s every woman for herself in the struggle to survive. With tensions at an all-time high, alliances are formed, back-stabbing ensues, and the plot never ceases to thicken. 

The fourth and final season of Sex Education is now streaming on Netflix. With Maeve in America and Moordale closed, Otis must find his footing at free-spirited Cavendish College – but he’s not the only sex therapist on campus.
