Season five of Only Murders in the Building premieres September 9 on hulu with the first three episodes. After their beloved doorman, Lester, dies under suspicious circumstances, Charles, Oliver, and Mabel refuse to believe it was an accident. Their investigation plunges them into the shadowy corners of New York and beyond – where the trio uncovers a dangerous web of secrets connecting powerful billionaires, old-school mobsters, and the mysterious residents of the Arconia. The trio discovers a deeper divide between their storied city they thought they knew and the new New York evolving around them – one where the old mob fights to hold on as newer, even more dangerous players emerge. The cast for the upcoming season includes Steve Martin, Martin Short, Selena Gomez, Michael Cyril Creighton, and special guest stars including Meryl Streep, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Richard Kind, Nathan Lane, Bobby Cannavale, Renée Zellweger, Logan Lerman, Christoph Waltz, Téa Leoni, Keegan-Michael Key, Beanie Feldstein, Dianne Wiest, Jermaine Fowler and more. 

The fourth and final season of Upload premieres August 25 on Prime Video. In the four-part series finale event, sentient AI rapidly turns evil, threatening to wipe out Lakeview (and the world!). On top of greedy executives, lingering mysteries, plus heartbreak in VR and IRL, our characters are tested like never before. The only way they can get through it all and save humanity from deletion is by teaming up one last time. 

Season two of With Love, Meghan premieres August 26 on Netflix. Meghan returns with a fun and heartwarming new season, welcoming celebrity chefs, talented artists, and beloved friends for hands-on adventures filled with laughter and discovery. From playful cooking challenges to DIY projects, Meghan and her guests explore bold flavors, experiment with new techniques, and discover simple ways to add beauty to everyday life. It’s all about embracing playfulness over perfection and finding joy in creating together. Guests this season include Chrissy Teigen, Christina Tosi, Clare Smyth, Daniel Martin, David Chang, Heather Dorak, Jamie Kern Lima, Jay Shetty, José Andrés, Radhi Devlukia, Samin Nosrat, Tan France. 

Zatima returns for season four September 11 on BET+ with two episodes weekly. The series continues to follow Zac and Fatima as they prepare for parenthood while navigating deep emotional scars, complicated friendships, and explosive entanglements. Season 4 picks up with higher stakes, heightened suspense, and raw vulnerability, deepening its cultural relevance among Black millennial and Gen Z viewers. The show remains a fan-favorite for its honesty around modern relationships, accountability, and personal evolution – all with Tyler Perry’s signature blend of humor and drama.

Task premieres September 7 on HBO. Set in the working-class suburbs of Philadelphia, an FBI agent (Mark Ruffalo) heads a Task Force to put an end to a string of violent robberies led by an unsuspecting family man (Tom Pelphrey). 

Adult Swim has ordered The Terrors of Jordan Mendoza, a live-action, quarter-hour series created by and starring Jordan Mendoza that follows a very scared man as he navigates a barrage of absurd, terrifying, and hilarious dreamscapes. It blends sharp comedy with surreal horror, diving deep into the subconscious of its protagonist to explore fears that are both deeply personal and strikingly universal. 

Netflix and global superstar Kevin Hart are on a mission to crown the next big name in stand-up with a new comedy competition series. Guided by Kevin Hart and a crew of comedy titans (TBA at a later date), this unfiltered, uncensored and unapologetic competition will pull back the curtain on the gritty, hilarious and often unpredictable path of a stand-up career. Contestants from all across the nation will face rigorous tests that mirror the real-life journey of a comedian – from brutal open mics to bombed sets, rewrites and the pressure of big-stage performances. The competition will give viewers an unvarnished look behind the curtain of comedy’s darkest corners and brightest spotlights with the challenges inspired by comics’ actual career trajectories. The eight episode series will premiere in 2026. 

NBCUniversal has extended its media rights agreement with the United States Golf Association (USGA) through 2032. NBC will be the exclusive broadcast home of the U.S. Open, U.S. Women’s Open and U.S. Senior Open. The U.S. Open will continue to have the most broadcast hours of any major championship – a minimum of 25 – and will further cement its legacy with an additional hour of primetime coverage on NBC each year on Thursday and Friday. Peacock will simulstream all USGA programming airing on NBC and will provide exclusive streaming coverage of the U.S. Open and U.S. Women’s Open. 

USA Network and Golf Channel will present live coverage of 11 United States Golf Association (USGA) championships through 2032 – including the U.S. Open and U.S. Women’s Open – featuring live event and studio coverage of the championships across the networks. As part of the agreement, USA Network will present roughly 35 hours of live U.S. Open and U.S. Women’s Open coverage each year. Golf Channel will carry expanded live coverage of the USGA championships, serving as the exclusive home of the U.S. Amateur, U.S. Women’s Amateur, U.S. Junior Amateur., U.S. Girls’ Junior., U.S. Senior Women’s Open, U.S. Adaptive Open, Walker Cup, and Curtis Cup. 

With the 2025 Monday Night Football season on the horizon, ESPN has extended Lisa Salters, elevated Laura Rutledge’s sideline reporting role and added both Katie George and Peter Schrager to its game coverage, resulting in two sideline reporters for all 25 NFL on ESPN games. Monday Night Football’s Joe Buck, Troy Aikman and Lisa Salters welcome Rutledge to all their telecasts (20 games), while George and Schrager join Chris Fowler, Dan Orlovsky and Louis Riddick for five games – the four weeks Monday Night Football has multiple games (Weeks 2, 4, 6 and 7) and the Doubleheader Saturday in Week 18. 

Reigning NBA MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry, and LeBron James are among the stars who will launch the NBA’s long-awaited return to NBC — and its debut on Peacock — on Tuesday, Oct. 21, with an NBA Tip-Off doubleheader.  In addition to NBA Tip-Off games, NBC Sports and the NBA also announced the debut games for Peacock NBA Monday and the four games comprising the first-ever quadrupleheader on Martin Luther King Jr. Day — Jan. 19, 2026. The complete NBC Sports’ 2025-26 NBA schedule on NBC and Peacock will be released this Thursday, Aug. 14. Peacock NBA Monday will debut with an exclusive streaming doubleheader on Monday, Oct. 27, when Donovan Mitchell and the Cleveland Cavaliers face Cade Cunningham and the Detroit Pistons at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Mich., at 7 p.m. ET followed by Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves hosting Nikola Jokić and the Denver Nuggets at Target Center in Minneapolis, Minn., at 9:30 p.m. ET. In an NBA first, NBC Sports will present a quadrupleheader on Martin Luther King Jr. Day – January 19, 2026 – featuring stars such as Giannis Antetokounmpo, Trae Young, Gilgeous-Alexander, Mitchell, Cooper Flagg, Jalen Brunson, Jaylen Brown, Cunningham, and more. 

ESPN and ABC today announced its blockbuster Opening Week and Christmas schedules for the 2025-26 NBA regular season. Opening Week will include two doubleheaders across Wednesday, October 22 and Thursday, October 23. All five Christmas games presented by State Farm on Thursday, December 25, will exclusively air across ESPN and ABC. ESPN enters its 24th consecutive season as the primary broadcast partner of the NBA and the exclusive home of the NBA’s most-marquee events, including the NBA Finals on ABC. ESPN tips off its 2025-26 NBA regular-season coverage with four marquee matchups presented by State Farm across back-to-back nights. The action begins on Wednesday, October 22, at 7 p.m. ET, as the Cleveland Cavaliers and Donovan Mitchell travel to Madison Square Garden to play the New York Knicks and Jalen Brunson in a battle of two Eastern Conference powerhouses. Following the game, at 9:30 p.m., two first overall picks – both past and present – square off deep in the heart of Texas, as the Dallas Mavericks and the debuting Cooper Flagg host the San Antonio Spurs and Victor Wembanyama. 

NFL Classics: After Further Review premieres September 3 on Vice TV. Each hour long episode reexamines one of the NFL’s most unforgettable games – this time through the eyes of the players who lived it and the die-hard celebrity fans who can’t forget it. Game footage plays alongside picture-in-picture commentary, candid stories, and never-before-heard behind-the-scenes moments. Peyton Manning will also appear at the top of each episode, offering his reflections from these memorable games. Upcoming guests include Heidi Gardner, Eric Stonestreet & Chris Jones; Bart Scott & Method Man; Kurt Warner & Cedric the Entertainer; Brian Urlacher & Sebastian Maniscalco; Phil Simms & Chris ‘Mad Dog’ Russo. 

Nickelodeon and Paramount+ are celebrating 25 years of their globally beloved Dora franchise this week (anniversary date is Thursday, August 14) with a special birthday-themed episode of DORA, “Dora’s Birthday Surprise,” set to premiere on Friday, August 15, at 11:30 a.m. (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon. A DORA series score album, “Music Leads The Way (A Dora Play-Along Album),” featuring narration from Dora and Boots, will also be available on all music streaming platforms that day. Mermaid-themed Dora content is coming this fall, along with a brand-new podcast and companion YouTube series. The ExploraDora Collection, now streaming on Paramount+ features the ultimate streaming destination for fans of the Dora franchise, offering more Dora content than any other streaming service. The collection features the first three seasons of DORA, original Dora the Explorer series, new original feature-length movie Dora and the Search for Sol Dorado, exclusive specials, and more franchise favorites. 

Six part series The Home Team: NY Jets premieres August 21 on Prime Video. The series follows six New York Jets players and their partners – including Quinnen & Maranda Williams; Alijah & Jessie Vera-Tucker; Allen Lazard & Camila Escribens; Tyler & Scottie Conklin; Chuck & Aysha Clark; and C.J. Mosley & Jamie Reiff – throughout the 2024-25 regular season. The series will provide an authentic peek into the emotional journey these players and their families go on over the course of a 17-game NFL season. From business endeavors to baby showers to family reunions, the series will take viewers inside the professional and personal lives of these diverse, loveable couples, in order to show how family makes football possible. 

Season two of Karen Pirie premieres October 2 on BritBox. The 1984 case of Catriona and Adam Grant has confounded investigators and intrigued the public like no other. Catriona, the charming young heiress to a vast oil fortune, and her two year old son Adam, were brutally kidnapped at gunpoint outside a fish and chip shop in Fife. The ransom notes that followed stirred up an uncontrollable press storm, but when the culprits fell silent, the police faltered, and Catriona and Adam were never seen again. Now, a man’s body has been discovered, with indisputable links to the original kidnap. With the first piece of evidence in decades, Karen must assemble an unbeatable team alongside her sincere and lovable sidekick DC Jason ‘Mint’ Murray and the brilliant – but romantically complicated – DS Phil Parhatka. Vampirina: Teenage Vampire premieres September 12 on Disney Channel. All episodes will begin streaming October 15 on Disney+. The series tells the story of a tween vampire girl who leaves the safety of Transylvania to attend a performing arts boarding school. Living amongst humans for the first time, she pursues her passion for music while keeping her vampire identity a secret, something that’s made more challenging when her overprotective father charges an overzealous ghost to live with her at the school. 

Lego Disney Princess: Villains Unite premieres August 25 on Disney+. After Ariel, Moana, Tiana, Rapunzel, and Snow White thwarted Gaston’s plan to take over all of their kingdoms, he calls upon Ursula, Jafar, and the Evil Queen to help take the Princesses down once and for all. The Princesses learn about Gaston’s scheme and recruit a few friends of their own with the help of Magic Mirror: Aurora, Belle, and Cinderella! Together, the Princesses team up for an ultimate showdown of good versus evil.
