The season premiere of Arrow ended with a punch to the gut for many viewers when Sara returned to help Oliver in a fight and have a bonding moment with Laurel, only to be killed by an unseen assailant. Someone shot Sara with three arrows and then she fell off the rooftop, landing in front of her sister.
Who killed Sara and where the team goes from here will be the focus of the next episode, fittingly titled “Sara.” All they have to go on is the fact that she was killed with arrows so they know they’re looking for a new archer in town. We know that Sara recognized her murderer, but the team will be missing that vital piece of information – at least for now. Despite Felicity’s objections, Oliver remains stoic, keeping his grief buried so the rest of the team can mourn.
Laurel steps up to help when the team hits a roadblock. Dig turns to A.R.G.U.S. for help and learns the archer’s identity and that he goes by the codename Komodo. But why does he target businessmen, including our new favorite Ray Palmer? And if that’s not enough to keep the team busy, Oliver’s worries over Thea lead to Roy telling her brother the real reason she left town.
Meanwhile, flashbacks to Hong Kong bring the welcome return of Tommy (Colin Donnell) to the show. Unfortunately, it’s not for the best reasons since Amanda Waller has ordered Oliver to kill him. Clearly, we know that doesn’t happen, but we’re curious to watch this scenario play out and excited to have Tommy back on our screens again (we’re never going to stop being bitter over his death).
