The Terminal List: Dark Wolf premieres August 27 on Prime Video with the first three episodes. The prequel series features an origin story that follows “Ben Edwards” throughout his journey from the Navy SEALs to the clandestine side of CIA Special Operations. The series is an espionage thriller that explores the darker side of warfare and the human cost that comes with it. It also features Chris Pratt reprising his role as “James Reece.” 

Netflix has renewed Long Story Short for a second season. The renewal comes ahead of the series premiere August 22. The series is an animated comedy from the creator of BoJack Horseman about one family, over time. Jumping through the years, we follow the Schwooper siblings from childhood to adulthood and back again, chronicling their triumphs, disappointments, joys, and compromises.

In advance of the season one finale of The Librarians: The Next Chapter on August 4, TNT has revealed the guest stars set to appear in the second season of the fantastical adventure series. Hailed for its blend of myth, mystery and magic, the sophomore season, airing in 2026, will feature appearances from a wide range of celebrated talent, including Dominic Monaghan, Jeremy Swift, Josh Gates, Stephan Kapičić, Oliver Dench, Ty Tennant, Flula Borg, Alan Emrys, Malcolm Sinclair, Reece Ritchie, Cat White, Gledisa Arthur, Jack Cunningham-Nuttall, Danny Rea, Luka Divac, and Alex Henry. From the original series, Lindy Booth will return as “Cassandra Cillian” and Christian Kane will continue to reprise his role as fan favorite character “Jacob Stone.” A spinoff of the acclaimed original television and film franchise, the series centers on Vikram Chamberlain, a Librarian from the past who time traveled from 1847 and now finds himself stuck in the present. When Vikram returns to his castle in Belgrade, Serbia and discovers that it is now a museum, he inadvertently releases magic across the continent. With the help of a new team of eclectic heroes, including a savant in world history, a scientific genius, and a highly skilled Guardian, Vikram has only six months to clean up the mess he made. Throughout season one, the team embarks on fantastical adventures, including a surprise reroute to a manor where Agatha Christie-styled murders take place, a time-travel back to the days of King Arthur at Camelot and even an encounter with the first-ever vampire. Callum McGowan, Jessica Green, Olivia Morris and Bluey Robinson star in the series. 

Wayward premieres September 25 on Netflix. In the picture-perfect town of Tall Pines, sinister secrets lurk behind every closed door. Not long after police officer Alex Dempsey and his pregnant wife Laura move into their new home, he connects with two students Abbie and Leila from the local school for “troubled teens” who are desperate to escape and could be the key to unearthing everything rotten in the town. As Alex begins investigating a series of unusual incidents, he suspects that Evelyn, the school’s mysterious leader, might be at the center of all the problems. Created by Mae Martin, Wayward is a thrilling and genre-bending limited series about the eternal struggle between one generation and the next, what happens when friendship and loyalty are put to the ultimate test, and how buried truths always find a way of coming to the surface. The eight episode limited series stars Mae Martin, Sarah Gadon, Sydney Topliffe, Alyvia Alyn Lind, Brandon Jay McLaren and Toni Collette. 

Season three of Tulsa King premieres September 21 on Paramount+. As Dwight’s empire expands, so do his enemies and the risks to his crew. Now, he faces his most dangerous adversaries in Tulsa yet: the Dunmires, a powerful old-money family that doesn’t play by old-world rules, forcing Dwight to fight for everything he’s built and protect his family. 

Alfie Allen has joined the cast of 3 Body Problem. Allen reunites with Game of Thrones creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss on the Netflix series. Humanity’s going to need all the help they can get.

Rascal Does Not Dream of a Sister Venturing Out and Rascal Does Not Dream of a Knapsack Kid will begin streaming on Crunchyroll August 2. Both followup films to the series will stream in Japanese with English subtitles and an English dub.

Nickelodeon has ordered a new The Thundermans movie. Clash of the Thundermans will air in 2026. Joining the returning cast members is Ariel Winter who will play Cognita. 

Robert Carlyle will portray Sherlock Holmes in the upcoming second season of Watson. Carlyle will recur in the CBS medical drama series. 

Three new true crime docuseries from ABC News Studio will premiere in August on hulu. Capturing Their Killer: The Girls on the High Bridge premieres August 5. Stalking Samantha: 13 Years of Terror premieres August 19. Ruby Red Handed: Stealing America’s Most Famous Pair of Shoes premieres August 26. 

Katrina: Come Hell and High Water premieres August 27 on Netflix .This is the story of a brutal coastal hurricane turned cataclysmic through human error and neglect. Over the course of a gripping and emotional three episodes, the people of New Orleans recount their past, extoll their present and lean into the future of what they and their beloved city survived and have become 20 years later. The series sets the stage for a tragedy – whose man-made elements expose the systemic governmental neglect that led to the city being defenseless in the face of the storm – and Katrina’s devastating impact that changed New Orleans irreparably. Detailed, harrowing and triumphant first-person accounts and never before seen archive illustrate the magnitude of Katrina, the aftermath of the levees breaking and the bungled recovery. 

Limited series The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox premieres August 20 on hulu with the first two episodes. The series is inspired by the story of how Amanda Knox was wrongfully convicted for the tragic murder of her roommate, Meredith Kercher, and her 16-year odyssey to set herself free. The series stars Grace Van Patten, Sharon Horgan, John Hoogenakker, Francesco Acquaroli, Giuseppe De Domenico and Roberta Mattei. 

The Echoes of Survivors: Inside Korea’s Tragedies premieres August 15 on Netflix. The tragedy continues to unfold. Four events that rocked a nation through the eyes of those who survived them. 

Peanuts special Snoopy Presents: A Summer Musical premieres August 15 on Apple TV+. Charlie Brown loves camp and is determined to make his final year special, but Sally, a first-time camper, is nervous and skeptical of the new and unfamiliar place. While everyone settles into camp, Snoopy and Woodstock discover a treasure map that takes them on a wild adventure nearby. One morning, the Peanuts gang learns that their beloved camp is shutting down because fewer campers are joining each summer. The news especially saddens Charlie Brown, who feels hopeless about losing a place that has meant so much to him and his friends and is determined to preserve its legacy. Meanwhile, on their adventure, Snoopy and Woodstock find the sought-after treasure chest, but are quickly disappointed when they discover it’s not riches, but instruments and photos from past summer concerts held at the camp. Newly inspired, Charlie Brown and the Peanuts gang use the treasure to host their own concert to save the camp. 

Season two of Her Mother’s Killer premieres September 8 on Netflix. With Mejía in prison, Analía and Pablo look to their future. But a relentless new enemy threatens to destroy everything they’ve built. 

90 Day Fiance: The Other Way returns September 8 on TLC. Four new couples and two fan favorites risk everything for love. The Dead Girls premieres September 10 on Netflix. The series tells the story of the Baladro sisters: two women who turned sin into business, and business into hell. Based on the novel by Jorge Ibargüengoitia, this series depicts a Mexico of brothels, buried secrets, clients in suits, and corrupt authorities. A story of power, ambition, and well-served drinks. 

Barbie Mysteries: Beach Detectives premieres August 28 on Netflix. Barbie and Barbie’s summer plans take a mysterious turn when the podcast hosts stumble upon a series of beachside mysteries.
