The Paper returns for season two on Peacock September 9 with all episodes. In season two, after sweeping the Ohio Journalism Awards, Ned searches for a journalistic crusade, coming for a local private club and jeopardizing the paper, while he and Mare try to figure out their attraction, Esmeralda struggles to find her place, and the staff gradually mature as reporters. NBC has renewed The Americas for a second season. It will explore new regions and dig deeper into the wildlife and majestic landscapes that the supercontinent has to offer. Production is currently underway, and the new season is set to premiere in 2028. Expanding on the tentpole series, special episodes will roll out in the leadup to season two, starting with “The Americas: A Wild 250th,” airing July 2 at 9pm ET/PT on NBC and next day on Peacock. NBC will also air “The Americas: Mother’s Day” in 2027. Tom Hanks is set to return as narrator for all new episodes, including the specials.
Lizzy Caplan has joined the cast of FX’s Far Cry, the new anthology series based on Ubisoft’s global hit video game franchise. The limited series from Noah Hawley and Rob Mac, who will also star, will retain Far Cry’s signature standalone storytelling format with each season set in a new setting following a new cast of characters. Since 2004, Far Cry has more than 100 million unique players and is one of Ubisoft’s most popular franchises. The award-winning Far Cry franchise is known for the exhilaration of the first-person shootouts, organic open world playgrounds, unique stories and memorable antagonists.
Ghosts has promoted Ben Feldman to a series regular. Feldman has appeared multiple times on the CBS series as another human who can see ghosts.
Animated series based on DC comics are in the works. Joker: Laugh Riot has been ordered to series. When he’s not hanging out with Superman or Supergirl, Krypto tags along with a gang of misfit criminal wannabes who live down the block, and they soon discover he’s a ball of destructive, lovable energy worse than any of them! As he follows them into misadventures and poorly laid plans, Krypto’s pure nature slowly ends up redeeming them, whether they want it or not.
Disney+ has given a pilot order to Aquamarine. The potential series is a followup to the movie of the same name. Original star Emma Roberts is set to appear in the project as a guest star.

Starz has acquired the rights to and is in active development on The Wolf King, the romantasy book series by Lauren Palphreyman that follows a captive princess who gets kidnapped by a brooding werewolf alpha and plunged into a bloodthirsty war. The adaptation will see Aurora, after being abducted from a world that treated her as a decorative pawn, uncovering her own wild strength in this sweeping romantasy. Ensnared in a lethal love triangle, she is thrust into a war between humankind and her feral captors, forcing her to decide whether she’s a prize to be claimed or the master of her own destiny.
New cast members for Boys of Tommen have been announced. The romantic drama TV series is based on the series by Irish author Chloe Walsh. Joining the Prime Video series are Amelia May as Claire Biggs, John Hewson as Gerard Gibson, Indy Lewis as Lizzie Young, Alex Dunne as Hugh Biggs, Dixie Egerickx as Katie Wilmot, Daisy Jacob as Bella Wilkinson, Jonathan Heed as Cormac Ryan and Cathal Ó Síocháin as Ronan McGarry. The search for Patrick Feely is still underway. They join Nancy Surridge (Shannon Lynch), Conor Sánchez (Johnny Kavanagh) James O’Donoghue (Joey Lynch) and Sophie McGibbon (Aoife Molly). The series follows the forbidden love story of Johnny Kavanagh, the star rugby player on the verge of a pro career, and Shannon Lynch, the talented but painfully shy new girl at the prestigious private school of Tommen College in Ballylaggin, Ireland. Both teenagers are hiding secrets; Johnny, a potentially career-ending injury, and Shannon, a troubled and violent homelife. Through their secret and highly charged connection, the two teens from opposite worlds battle against the odds and find a way to save each other.

ESPN will present The Championships, Wimbledon, in its entirety beginning Monday, June 29, from the All England Lawn Tennis Club with daily coverage from all 18 courts on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN Deportes (Spanish) and streaming on the ESPN App for ESPN Unlimited plan subscribers. ABC will broadcast select live Round of 16 matches on Sunday, July 5, between noon and 5 p.m. ET. All Disney+ subscribers can access Day 1 action of the tournament directly within the app. For the fourth straight year, coverage will be presented by Barclays. The tournament will culminate with the Ladies’ Championship and the Gentlemen’s Doubles Championship on Saturday, July 11, and the Gentlemen’s Championship and the Ladies’ Doubles Championship on Sunday, July 12, on ESPN, ESPN Deportes and streaming on the ESPN App. ABC encore presentations of the Ladies’ and Gentlemen’s Championships air on July 11 and 12 at 3 p.m. each day. Established in 1966, the Academy of Country Music Awards is the longest-running Country Music awards show and made history in 2022 as the first major awards ceremony to exclusively livestream, in collaboration with Prime Video.

TNT Sports and DAZN today announced the on-air broadcast team for The Fight, the new monthly live boxing series created through the landmark partnership between the two global sports media leaders. The inaugural installment of The Fight will air live from Cleveland’s Wolstein Center on Saturday, July 4 at 8 p.m. ET across TNT, truTV and DAZN. The card marks the first event in a new monthly series designed to deliver world-class boxing to fans across the United States and around the world. TNT Sports host Adam Lefkoe will anchor studio coverage alongside one of boxing’s all-time greats, Terence Crawford, boxing analyst and Hall of Famer Tim Bradley Jr., and former two-time world champion Shawn Porter. The fight broadcast team will feature veteran play-by-play commentator Todd Grisham and former light middleweight champion Sergio Mora serving as analyst. Seasoned boxing journalist Chris Mannix will contribute throughout the event as ringside and in-ring reporter, studio analyst and co-commentator.
Swedish crime thriller Blood Sacrifice premieres August 20 on Netflix. It is summer time in Stockholm, when the darkness never really creeps in. A 911 call is received, speaking of a home invasion. Two police officers are sent to the address, a summer house in the archipelago. Only to find there is no one there, at least not that they can see. The next day the bodies of the officers are found, a brutal crime. This is the start of a series of terrifying murders, all seemingly targeting police officers. The lead detective needs to ask his father, a retired detective, for help in cracking the case.
Breaking Bear premieres July 24 on Tubi. A family of bears run a drug empire to raise money to save their forest from frackers and an endless array of psychotic enemies. Wonder Project has given Fluff Piece a two season order. It is the company’s first original children’s series, marking a major expansion of its family entertainment strategy and investment in programming for young audiences. The initial order includes 22 episodes across two seasons, consisting of a 10-episode first season and a 12-episode second season.
