All four episodes will premiere on the streamer May 3. Couples Therapy returns with new episodes, set to premiere on Showtime April 28 with all nine episodes. The series brings viewers into therapy sessions with Dr. Guralnik, as she deftly guides couples through the conflicts – and extraordinary breakthroughs – typically hidden behind closed doors. The second part of season three follows four new captivating couples wrestling with the confines of long-term relationships: two ex-Mormons struggle with betrayals past and present, a young Palestinian woman desperately tries to adjust to her partners’ demand for polyamory, a husband’s sexual frustration feeds his wife’s insecurities and Dr. Guralnik meets a therapeutic challenge in a man who refuses to face the damage caused by his infidelities.
Julianne Hough has joined Dancing with the Stars as a new co-host. She previously competed in the dance competition series as a profession, and later returned as a judge. Co-host Alfonso Ribeiro will take over for Tyra Banks as lead host following her departure. Hough will take over Ribeiro’s previous role as backstage interviewer as the contestants await their scores.
Ciaran Hinds, Rory Kinnear, and Tanya Moodie have been cast in season two of Prime Video’s The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. The series is set thousands of years before the events of J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings books, and will take viewers back to an era in which great powers were forged, kingdoms rose to glory and fell to ruin, unlikely heroes were tested, hope hung by the finest of threads, and the greatest villain that ever flowed from Tolkien’s pen threatened to cover all the world in darkness. Food Network has renewed Superchef Grudge Match for a second season. In each episode, host Darnell Ferguson settles two long-standing personal and professional food feuds in one-round, one-dish winner-takes-all heavyweight battles. Chefs finally bury the hatchet and win $10,000 cash, a prized knife from the losing chef and lifelong bragging rights over their food foe. From food competition rivalries and business partner squabbles to mentor vs. protégé grudges, sparks fly in and out of the kitchen in this one-hour series. New episodes will premiere early 2024.
HGTV has ordered Building Paradise, a renovation series set in Costa Rica. The six-episode season will document high-end hospitality and building experts, Luke Shantz and Steph Sitt, on their journey to overhaul a rickety motel into a dreamy boutique hotel in the Costa Rican surf town of Jacó. With two young daughters in tow, the adventurous couple will collaborate with a local designer and builder to bring Hotel Amavi to life. The series will premiere in 2024.
Leanne Morgan: I’m Every Woman will premiere on Netflix April 11. The standup special will celebrate women as well as tap into personal stories from her life.
Iwan Rheon is replacing Lorenzo Richelmy on Peacock’s Those About to Die. Liraz Charhi, Johannes Haukur Johannesson, Rupert Penry-Jones, Eneko Sagardoy, Pepe Barroso, Gonçalo Almeida, Kyshan Wilson and Alicia Edogamhe have also joined the cast.
Michael Chiklis is set to star in Hotel Cocaine for MGM+. He joins Danny Pino in the crime thriller series.
Alretha Thomas, Chet Anekwe and Damien Leake have joined the cast of Tyler Perry’s Assisted Living. They will each be series regulars. The series returns alongside Tyler Perry’s House of Payne March 22 on BET.
The second half of the current season of Bravo’s Vanderpump Rules will feature footage after the “Scandoval” news broke. The released midseason trailer sees the fallout of the events.
New series Vinyl Obsession will join AXS TV’s “Sunday Night Rocks” lineup April 2. The series follows along with some of the biggest names in music, as they visit the landmark Grimey’s Record Shop in Nashville to discuss their celebrated careers and biggest influences while picking out the five albums that have impacted them the most on vinyl.
