Apple TV+ has renewed Criminal Record for a second season. In season two, June is the senior officer on the scene when a political rally is attacked by far-right counter-protesters. The violent clash leaves a young man dead and June, consumed with guilt, is desperate to bring the unknown killer to justice. It seems as if her best hope is Daniel, now a key figure in the shadowy world of police intelligence. He may have the answers she needs, but to get his help, she will have to accept a dangerous bargain. 

Season two of Frasier will premiere on Paramount+ September 19. The series follows Frasier Crane in the next chapter of his life after he returns to Boston to face new challenges, forge new relationships and – with hope – finally fulfill an old dream or two. The sophomore season will see Dr. Frasier Crane return to his radio roots at KACL in a Seattle-themed episode. The series is filmed in front of a live studio audience at Paramount Studios in Los Angeles. 

Jersey Shore Family Vacation returns to MTV September 19. After a shocking first half of season 7, where Sammi ‘Sweetheart’ Giancola and Ronnie Ortiz-Magro reunited for the first time in over a decade – this second installment promises to be the most revealing yet. From the sandy shores to the neon lights of Sin City, the squad is taking fans on a rollercoaster of emotions as they navigate life’s biggest milestones – from parenthood and adoption to engagements and heartbreaks. In classic “Shore” style, the gang will face unexpected challenges while creating unforgettable memories on their family vacations. Undergoing the ultimate test of preparing for the apocalypse to experiencing the thrill of the “Big Game” in Las Vegas, they leave no stone unturned. They will also revisit the iconic energy of New York City and have some nostalgic fun in Miami. 

The fourth and final season of My Brilliant Friend premieres September 9 on HBO. Based on the novels by Elena Ferrante, the series follows Elena Greco and the most important friend in her life, Raffaella “Lila” Cerullo. After meeting as children in 1950s Naples, their story goes on to cover over 60 years, exploring the mystery of Lila – Elena’s brilliant best friend and, in a way, her worst enemy. The fourth installment of the saga, titled “Story of the Lost Child,” delves into the adult lives of Elena and Lila. They find themselves entangled in the turmoil of Italy in the late 1980s, nearing the end of decades of political violence and social unrest. Amid motherhood and career demands, amid betrayals, threats, disappearances, and natural disasters, Elena and Lila once again reside in the same neighborhood. 

Thriller series The Madness starring Colman Domingo premieres November 28 on Netflix. Media pundit Muncie Daniels must fight for his innocence and his life after he stumbles upon a murder deep in the Poconos woods. As the walls close in, Muncie strives to reconnect with his estranged family – and his lost ideals – in order to survive. 

Megan Thee Stallion is set to host the MTV VMAs September 11 live from New York’s UBS Arena. Previously announced performers include Benson Boone, Camila Cabello, Chappell Roan, GloRilla, Halsey, Lenny Kravitz, LISA, Rauw Alejandro and Sabrina Carpenter. Katy Perry is this year’s Vanguard and will perform a career-spanning medley of her biggest chart-toppers. 

Season two of Sprint premieres on Netflix November 13. Episodes will feature Noah Lyles, Gabby Thomas, Fred Kerley, Kishane Thompson, Julien Alfred, Letsile Tebogo, Melissa Jefferson, Twanisha Terry, Marcell Jacobs, Kenny Bednarek, Shericka Jackson, Oblique Seville, and other elite athletes as they compete at the pinnacle of their sport at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, striving for gold with the world watching. 

Stephen Nedoroscik has been announced as the first celebrity contestant for the upcoming season of Dancing with the Stars. Nedoroscik won two bronze medals at the recent Olympic games. The rest of the season 33 cast will be announced at a later date. The new season premieres September 17 on ABC. 

FX’s Say Nothing premieres on hulu November 14 with all nine episodes. The series is a gripping story of murder and memory in Northern Ireland during The Troubles. Spanning four decades, the series opens with the shocking disappearance of Jean McConville, a single mother of ten who was abducted from her home in 1972 and never seen alive again. Telling the story of various Irish Republican Army (IRA) members, the series explores the extremes some people will go to in the name of their beliefs, the way a deeply divided society can suddenly tip over into armed conflict, the long shadow of radical violence for all affected, and the emotional and psychological costs of a code of silence. 

Matthew Rhys has joined Claire Danes in Netflix’s mystery thriller limited series The Beast in Me. An author finds a new subject in her real estate mogul neighbor, once the prime suspect in his wife’s disappearance. Things spiral into a game of cat and mouse that might turn deadly. 

Sendhil Ramamurthy is set to play Nefertari Cobra in Netflix’s One Piece. In the heart of The Desert Kingdom of Alabasta, where rebellion stirs and secrets are buried, stands a King like no other.

Hulu’s Chad Powers starring Glen Powell is coming soon to hulu. When bad behavior nukes hotshot QB Russ Holliday’s college career, he disguises himself and walks onto a struggling Southern football team as the talented, affable Chad Powers. The series is based on the Eli’s Places sketch which airs on ESPN+.

Peacock has ordered M.I.A. to series from Ozark co-creator Bill Dubuque. Running drugs is a family affair for Etta Tiger Jonze, but when her family is slaughtered before her eyes, Etta sets out to exact justice on those responsible – avenging her blood family while she builds her chosen family, igniting her series journey from powerless orphan to South Florida’s most powerful criminal Queenpin. 

A new episode of Secret Celebrity Renovation will premiere September 20 on CBS. Fresh off the heels of his return to the Dodgers starting lineup, Mookie Betts will trade in his baseball bat for a sledgehammer as he returns to his hometown of Nashville, Tenn., to surprise his father, Willie, with a much-needed home renovation. Mookie has always wanted to express his gratitude to his father for the many personal sacrifices he made while raising him. Not only did Willie teach Mookie about sports, he also imparted the values of hard work and integrity. 

OVERLORD: The Sacred Kingdom will officially release in theaters in North America on November 8, 2024. The film will be released in Japanese with English subtitles and dubbed in English. The film picks up from the end of OVERLORD Season 4, continuing the journey of Momonga, the salaryman now trapped in his favorite video game.

The Drew Barrymore Show has been renewed for a sixth season. The series will run through the 2025/2026 season. Season five will premiere September 9. The nationally syndicated daytime show is a destination for entertainment, information and important conversations. Composed of exclusive celebrity interviews, unique lifestyle segments, social media influencers and feel-good news stories, it is the show’s mission to touch all aspects of life through Drew’s unique, optimistic lens. 

BoJack Horseman creator Raphael Bob-Waksberg has a new adult animated comedy series coming soon to Netflix. Long Story Short is about a family, over time. It’s about the shared history, the inside jokes, the old wounds. If you’ve ever had a mother, father, sibling, partner, or child, this is the show for you and by the way would it kill you to call them?

Tanya Moodie, Shalom Brune-Franklin, Anna Chancellor, Karen Henthorn, Leo Suter and Francesca Corney have been cast in Prime Video’s The Girlfriend. They join Robin Wright, Olivia Cooke, Laurie Davidson, and Waleed Zuaiter as series regulars. The series is based on Michelle Frances’ novel of the same name. Laura wants for nothing. She has a glittering career, a loving husband, and, above all, she has Daniel, her precious only son. Prime Video will launch a UK version of the international hit format, Last One Laughing, which will be hosted by Jimmy Carr. The series will premiere in 2025. Miranda Lambert has been chosen to receive the Country Icon Award at the 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards. An encore of Billy Joel: The 100th – Live at Madison Square Garden will air August 23 on CBS. The special celebrated Joel’s record-breaking 100th consecutive residency performance at Madison Square Garden. Sting Jerry Seinfeld made surprise appearances. Joel performed some of his iconic songs, including “New York State of Mind” and “Piano Man,” and the new hit “Turn the Lights Back On.” 

Blood Legacy premieres September 20 on Netflix. After years of estrangement, Khanyi Adesina returns home to fight for her family’s business empire as it threatens to collapse under corruption.

Detective drama series Ellis premieres on Acorn TV this November. Each two-hour episode will see Ellis, accompanied by her right-hand man DS Harper, played by Andrew Gower, arrive at a different local police station, where she will have to win over the local detectives and immerse herself in the cases she’s come to solve. As a Black female cop, Ellis is used to being dismissed and overlooked, but remains focused on her work as a first-class murder detective, fueled by a determination for justice and a deep well of compassion for those who need it. 

Caught in the Web: The Murders Behind Zona Divas premieres September 5 on Netflix. In the dark underbelly of Mexico City, women seeking a better life find themselves entangled in an online escort network, without imagining that it would all culminate in a series of femicides.

The reunion episode of Love Is Blind: UK premieres on Netflix August 26. The special will dive into the real connections made, the drama that unfolded and what’s gone down since the weddings.

The Grand Tour: One for the Road premieres September 13 on Prime Video. Join Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May as they travel across the globe on their Grand Tour. A show about adventure, excitement and friendship… as long as you accept that the people you call friends are also the ones you find extremely annoying. Sometimes it’s even a show about cars, reviewing Italian classics, hot hatchbacks, muscle cars, pick-up trucks, luxury vehicles and more. There’s something for everyone (If you like middle-aged men doing things with cars, then this is the show for you!)
