Disney+’s Star Wars series Obi-Wan Kenobi will premiere on the streamer May 25. Ewan McGregor will reprise his role as the iconic Jedi Master. It will also mark the return of Hayden Christensen in the role of Darth Vader. The story begins 10 years after the dramatic events of “Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith” where Obi-Wan Kenobi faced his greatest defeat – the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, who turned to the dark side as evil Sith Lord Darth Vader.
Season two of Netflix’s Bridgerton premieres March 25. Season two tells the romance story of Lord Anthony Bridgerton’s quest for love. Driven by his duty to uphold the family name, Anthony’s search for a debutante who meets his impossible standards seems ill-fated until Kate and her younger sister Edwina Sharma arrive from India.
Paramount+’s new Star Trek series Star Trek: Strange New Worlds will premiere May 5. The ten episode season is based on the years Captain Christopher Pike manned the helm of the U.S.S. Enterprise. The series will feature fan favorites from season two of Star Trek Discovery, Anson Mount as Captain Christopher Pike, Rebecca Romijn as Number One and Ethan Peck as Science Officer Spock. The series will follow Captain Pike, Science Officer Spock and Number One in the years before Captain Kirk boarded the U.S.S. Enterprise, as they explore new worlds around the galaxy.
Peacock’s limited series Angelyne premieres May 19. The series is about fame, identity, survival, billboards, Corvettes, lingerie, men, women, women teasing men, men obsessed with women, West Hollywood, crystals, UFOs, and most importantly of all, the self-proclaimed Rorschach test in pink, glow-in-the-dark queen of the universe, Angelyne.
CBS has renewed four series for new seasons. Unscripted series Survivor, The Amazing Race, Tough As Nails and Secret Celebrity Renovation will all be back next season.
Starz has renewed Power Book IV: Force for a second season. The series follows Tommy Egan, played by Joseph Sikora, after he cuts ties and puts New York in his rearview mirror for good. As Tommy leaves New York after losing Ghost, LaKeisha and the only city he’s ever known, he makes a quick detour to close an old wound that’s been haunting him for decades. What was supposed to be a quick stop turns into a labyrinth of family secrets and lies Tommy thought were long buried.
André Braugher has joined the cast of Paramount+’s The Good Fight for its upcoming sixth season. Braugher will play a lawyer and be a series regular. The new season will premiere this summer.
HBO Max has officially ordered The Penguin, a spinoff series from the film The Batman. The DC drama centers on the character played by Colin Farrell in the film. The news comes after the originally planned GCPD series was shelved.
Vikings: Valhalla received a 24 episode order when the project was first announced by Netflix. The first season consisted of eight episodes. It was confirmed that the next eight of that order will be released as season two, with the next eight released as season three. Production on the second season has wrapped with season three production to begin in the spring.
Oscar Morgan, Olivia Rose Keegan and Navia Robinson have been cast in The CW’s Gotham Knights pilot. They join Fallon Smythe and Tyler DiChiara. The potential series would see Batman’s adopted son team up with his enemies when they are framed for his murder.
Jerry Springer’s court series Judge Jerry has been canceled after three seasons. The series will run through September.
ABC’s upcoming special Step Into… The Movies with Derek and Julianne Hough has added more names. Kevin Bacon, Charli D’Amelio, Ariana DeBose, Jenna Dewan, Harry Shum Jr., Baz Luhrmann, Tate McRae, Rob Marshall, Kenny Ortega, Amber Riley and John Stamos will all take part in the event. Airing March 20, Derek Hough and Julianne Hough will lead performances seen through a modern lens, inspired from iconic films such as “Singin’ in the Rain,” “Moulin Rouge!,” “Beauty and the Beast,” “Chicago,” “Dirty Dancing,” “Saturday Night Fever” and “La La Land.”
Kat Foster and Felix Solis have been cast in the backdoor pilot episode of ABC’s The Rookie. The potential spinoff series stars Niecy Nash and will focus on the LA branch of the FBI.
The Good Dish has been cancelled after one abbreviated season. The series replaced The Dr. Oz Show after he left to run for office.

Host LL Cool J, Icon Award Recipient Jennifer Lopez, Megan Thee Stallion, Jason Aldean, John Legend, Charlie Puth, and Måneskin will all be performing at the 2022 iHeartRadio Music Awards. The ceremony will air live on Fox March 22.

The 75th Annual Tony Awards will air live coast to coast this year on CBS June 12. It will also stream on Paramount+. The four hour event will recognize all the award categories and honor the incredible artistry of the 2021-2022 season.
High School Musical: The Musical: The Series has added three new recurring cast members for the upcoming third season on Disney+. Ben Stillwell, Aria Brooks, and newcomer Liamani Segura will recur. Olivia Rodrigo will also recur in the new season after starring in the first two seasons.

All 14 seasons of Degrassi: The Next Generation will be able to stream on HBO Max March 25. Their all new Degrassi series will premiere in 2023.
