HBO has renewed The Gilded Age for a third season. The renewal comes days after the season two finale. The American Gilded Age was a period of immense economic change, of great conflict between the old ways and brand new systems, and of huge fortunes made and lost. Season two began on Easter morning 1883, with the news that Bertha Russell’s bid for a box at the Academy of Music had been rejected. Through the eight episodes of the season, Bertha challenges Mrs. Astor and the old system and works to not only gain a foothold in Society, but to potentially take a leading role in it. George Russell takes on his own battle with a growing union at his steel plant in Pittsburgh. In the Brook House, Marian continues her journey to find her way in the world secretly teaching at a girls school while much to everyone’s surprise Ada begins a new courtship. Of course, Agnes approves of none of it. In Brooklyn, the Scott family begins to heal from a shocking discovery, and Peggy taps into her activist spirit through her work with T. Thomas Fortune at the NY Globe.
Netflix celebrated the Winter Solstice by debuting several new photos from its upcoming new series Avatar: The Last Airbender. New Images include Gordon Cormier as “Aang,” Arden Cho as “June,” Danny Pudi as “The Mechanist,” Sebastian Amoruso as “Jet,” Maria Zhang as “Suki,” Tamlyn Tomita as “Yukari,” and Casey Camp-Horinket as “Gran Gran”. A live-action reimagining of the beloved animated series following Aang, the young Avatar, as he learns to master the four elements (Water, Earth, Fire and Air) to restore balance to a world threatened by the terrifying Fire Nation. The eight episode series premieres February 22 on Netflix.

Anime series Dr. STONE has been renewed for a fourth and final season titled “Science Future”. Several thousand years after a mysterious phenomenon that turns all of humanity to stone, the extraordinarily intelligent, science-driven boy, Senku Ishigami, awakens. Facing a world of stone and the total collapse of civilization, Senku makes up his mind to use science to rebuild the world. Starting with his super strong childhood friend Taiju Oki, who awakened at the same time, they will begin to rebuild civilization from nothing. Depicting two million years of scientific history from the Stone Age to present day, the unprecedented crafting adventure story is about to begin! The series streams on Crunchyroll with a second window airing on adult swim’s Toonami block.
Delicious in Dungeon premieres on Netflix January 4. An English dub will simuldub alongside. Dungeons, dragons… and delicious monster stew!? Adventurers foray into a cursed buried kingdom to save their friend, cooking up a storm along the way. In the depths of the dungeon, the younger sister of adventurer Laios was eaten by a Red Dragon ― and he barely made it back to the surface with his life. Laios attempts to venture into the dungeon again, but his money and rations are still in the dungeon’s lower depths. Knowing that his sister may be digested at any moment, Laios decides: “I’ll get my food from the dungeon itself!” That means eating slimes, basilisks, mimics and even dragons!
The CW will air repeat episodes of The Conners from 8:30-9:30 on Thursdays starting January 4. The episodes will air between episodes of Son of a Critch and Children Ruin Everything. The first five seasons will be available for the network to air.
Comedian Jo Koy will host the 81st Annual Golden Globe Awards. The live awards show will air January 7 on CBS. Koy will host the show for the first time, bringing his unique charm, energy and unpredictable humor to the three-hour broadcast.
The Greatest @Home Videos: The CEDY Awards airs February 5 on CBS. Cedric the Entertainer kicks off awards season as he hosts the second annual Cedy Awards, where he shines a spotlight on the best of the best in viral videos from around the world. As part of the award show spectacular, Cedric will select his top two favorite videos and then viewers at home will be able to vote live to crown the #1 video of the year. To wrap up the show, Max Greenfield stops by to play the role of “verifier of the results of stuff” from the “Consulting Firm of Greenfield & Greenfield” to authenticate the results of the vote and deliver the coveted Golden Cedy.
ABC has announced the lineup from New York for this year’s Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2024. Host Ryan Seacrest and his 2024 co-host, Rita Ora, will lead festivities from New York’s Times Square, with an all-star lineup of artists including Megan Thee Stallion, Jelly Roll, Sabrina Carpenter and Tyla. The event will air live December 31 on ABC beginning at 8:00 p.m. EST.
The final three episodes of Raid The Cage will air on CBS beginning January 3. Damon Wayans Jr. hosts the action-packed new game show where strategy, teamwork and nerve are key to winning big.
