S.W.A.T. Exiles will premiere on Starz September 25. In the S.W.A.T. follow-up spinoff series, after a high-profile mission goes sideways, Daniel “Hondo” Harrelson is pulled out of forced retirement to lead a last-chance experimental S.W.A.T. unit made up of untested, unpredictable young recruits. Hondo must bridge a generational divide, navigate clashing personalities and turn a squad of outsiders into a team capable of protecting the city – and saving the program that made him who he is. Original cast members Jay Harrington and Patrick St. Esprit will return, reprising their roles as Sergeant David “Deacon” Kay and Commander Robert Hicks, respectively. David Lim will also return as Victor Tan in the penultimate episode.
Prime Video has renewed Every Year After for a second season, bringing the next story from the Barry’s Bay universe to the screen. The new season will be inspired by Carley Fortune’s “One Golden Summer,” while continuing to explore the fan favorite stories and characters from the first season.
John Oliver has been cast in a significant guest role on General Hospital. He will appear across a three-episode arc airing on July 2, 3 and 6. On his March 8 show of Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, Oliver lobbied to be cast in a “juicy” role on General Hospital, and GH was happy to oblige.
Anime series Witch Hat Atelier will return for a second season. The series, which airs on Crunchyroll, is currently in production on its new season. Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 will premiere this Fall on Netflix. The new standalone 10-episode story comes from the world of Cyberpunk 2077 – a raw chronicle of redemption and revenge. Season two of Diarra From Detroit premieres July 29 on Paramount+. Created by and starring Diarra Kilpatrick, season two finds Diarra Brickland trying – unsuccessfully – to have a hot girl summer without getting wrapped up in yet another deeply unserious and extremely dangerous Detroit mystery. This time around, what starts as a seemingly harmless furniture recovery mission quickly spirals into a triple homicide investigation, a citywide treasure hunt and another trip deep into Detroit’s criminal underbelly. As Diarra attempts to sort out her messy relationship status, she instead finds herself going undercover with a secret society, starring in a Tubi movie, chasing urban legends, dodging gang warfare, and uncovering secrets buried beneath the city itself. Because of course she does.

Season three of The Marlow Murder Club premieres September 6 on PBS. Amanda Batula will not return for the upcoming 11th season of Summer House. Batula had appeared on the Bravo series for nine seasons. She recently was the subject of drama when she began dating Westling Wilson, who also has departed the series. Ben Waddell will also not be appearing in the upcoming new season.

Maine Cabin Masters: All Inn premieres July 27 on Magnolia Network. Paramount+ ordered a new docuseries chronicling the Texas Tech University football team through one of the most consequential offseasons in the history of the sport. It follows the Texas Tech Red Raiders as Head Coach Joey McGuire builds a new team identity during a demanding offseason. The four- episode docuseries has been in production since January 2026 and is expected to premiere ahead of this year’s college football season.
The Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest is nearing its annual return to the corner of Surf and Stillwell Avenues on Coney Island. On July 4, No. 1 overall eater Joey Chestnut and top-ranked female eater Miki Sudo look to retain their mustard belts. Chestnut looks for his 18th title while Sudo aims for her 12th overall and fifth straight. This year, the men’s contest will simulcast on ABC beginning at 12:30 p.m. ET as part of the Disney Celebrates America initiative. Coverage begins at Noon ET on ESPN2 with a re-air at 4 p.m. ET also on ESPN2. ESPN has exclusive live broadcast rights from 10:45 a.m. ET to the conclusion of the event, and marks the 23rd consecutive year ESPN has televised the competition.
