Fox has renewed Murder in a Small Town for a third season. Joining the cast in the new season is Peter Gallagher. The series follows Karl Alberg, who moves to a quiet, coastal town to soothe a psyche that has been battered by big-city police work. He quickly learns that this gentle paradise has more than its share of secrets, and he will need to call upon all the skills that made him a world-class detective in solving the murders that, even in this seemingly idyllic setting, continue to wash up on his shore. In the second season, Karl’s jurisdiction expanded, and he had to contend with an increased caseload and limited resources, investigating cases like: a body found at a local wedding between members of two feuding families; a double kidnapping that may mask an even bigger crime; a pop star who retreated to Gibsons for a quiet vacation only to be followed by a dangerous stalker; and much more. At the heart of the story is Karl and Cassandra’s romance – joyful, unpredictable, and endlessly compelling. Season Two ends with Karl’s proposal. As Season Three unfolds, will their relationship move to the next level? Throughout the series, viewers will continue to experience a beautiful undercurrent of human nature, as the characters remain redemptive and optimistic against the backdrop of an idyllic town.
The Dynasty: UConn Huskies premieres August 21 on Apple TV. The three episode series features the legendary University of Connecticut women’s college basketball team. The series spans 40 years of the program’s historic run under Hall of Fame head coach Geno Auriemma. Featuring exclusive interviews with the 2025 National Championship team – No. 1 2025 WNBA Draft pick Paige Bueckers, No. 1 2026 WNBA Draft pick Azzi Fudd, 2026 collegiate National Player of the Year Sarah Strong, KK Arnold and Jana El Alfy – alongside voices from across generations of UConn basketball, the series offers a rare, inside look at the players carrying the program forward while reflecting on the legacy that built it. In 1985, the UConn women’s basketball program had just one winning season. What followed was a transformation led by Auriemma and defined by an iconic lineage of players – from Rebecca Lobo and Swin Cash to Sue Bird, Diana Taurasi, Maya Moore and Breanna Stewart – establishing the Huskies as the gold standard of college basketball. In total, UConn has won 12 national championships, more than any other team, men or women, in the history of NCAA Division I basketball. Under the leadership of the iconic, and at times polarizing, Auriemma, whose vision and intensity helped define the program’s identity, UConn built a culture rooted in discipline, accountability and an unrelenting pursuit of excellence. That culture has produced generations of elite athletes and sustained a level of dominance rarely seen in sports, while also revealing the demands, tensions and personal costs that come with maintaining such an exacting standard. The series traces that journey in full – blending never-before-seen archival footage, incisive interviews and intimate access to players, coaches, alumni and more – revealing how a program built over decades continues to define the standard today.

A new episode of The Yogurt Shop Murders premieres May 22 on HBO. “The End of Wondering,” chronicles the months after the documentary series THE YOGURT SHOP MURDERS debuted in August 2025 when the Austin Police Department (APD) suddenly convenes a press conference to announce a break in the 34-year-old case only three weeks after the show concluded. In the conference, APD cold case detective Dan Jackson reveals the behind-the-scenes details of the painstaking work that he and other investigators used in tracking down the killer of four teenage girls in Austin, Texas in 1991. When the murderer’s identity is uncovered and verified through new DNA technology, it reveals the unexpected connection to a serial killer whose crimes stretched across numerous states in the ’90s. The resolution offers some relief to the family members while at the same time allowing the falsely accused men from the original investigation an opportunity to finally seek exoneration. Through intimate conversations with victims’ families and detectives, along with new interviews with Forrest Welborn, who was falsely accused, the widow and daughter of fellow wrongfully accused Maurice Pierce, and, in a rare perspective, the daughter of the perpetrator, the story unfolds from multiple angles. It also examines Austin’s broader community, including those reluctant to let go of long held beliefs, exploring the lasting impact of trauma and whether true closure is possible. The episode looks at what it’s like to finally uncover answers after years of uncertainty, and the psychological impact that follows.
