Netflix has picked up Star Trek: Prodigy following its cancellation at Paramount+. Season one will premiere later this year while the brand new second season will premiere in 2024. The series follows a motley crew of young aliens who must figure out how to work together while navigating a greater galaxy, in search for a better future. These six young outcasts know nothing about the ship they have commandeered – a first in the history of the Star Trek Franchise – but over the course of their adventures together, they each are introduced to Starfleet and the ideals it represents.
Scavengers Reign premieres October 19 on Max. In this surreal sci-fi animated series the remaining crew of a damaged interstellar freighter ship find themselves stranded on a beautiful, yet unforgiving alien planet where they must survive long enough to escape or be rescued. As the survivors struggle to locate their downed ship and missing crewmates, their new home reveals a hostile world allowed to thrive without human interference.
Season 29 of Saturday Night Live premieres October 14 on NBC. Pete Davidson will serve as host with musical guest Ice Spice.

The second cour of Dr. STONE New World season three will premiere on Crunchyroll in sub and dub October 12. South Park: Joining the Panderverse premieres October 27 on Paramount+. Cartman’s deeply disturbing dreams portend the end of the life he knows and loves. The adults in South Park are also wrestling with their own life decisions as the advent of AI is turning their world upside down.
Marvel is overhauling its TV sector starting with its upcoming Daredevil: Born Again. The series will undergo creative changes with new head writers. Less than half of the episodes were filmed and footage from those episodes will be repurposed. Additionally, the company is looking to do less miniseries and more ongoing series.
Crunchyroll and GSN have teamed together to launch an anime streaming channel. The 24/7 channel is available on Amazon Freevee, LG Channels, The Roku Channel and Vizio WatchFree+. The network will include English-dubbed programing at launch including Horimiya, Ranking of Kings, Moriarty the Patriot, PSYCHO-PASS, Arifureta: From Commonplace to World’s Strongest, Sugar Apple Fairytale, To Your Eternity, and Code Geass.
Merry Little Batman will premiere on Prime Video December 8. The animated family action comedy takes place on Christmas Eve when young Damian Wayne finds himself alone in Wayne Manor. He must transform into “Little Batman” in order to defend his home and Gotham City from the crooks and supervillains intent on destroying the holidays.
Chopped: Julia Child’s Kitchen premieres November 14 on Food Network. Sixteen chefs well-versed in all things Julia Child are ready to put their expertise to the test in the new five-part tournament. With passion and creativity, the chefs will face off in four preliminary heats for a spot in the finale where they will have the chance to battle it out for the ultimate gastronomes grand prize – a $25,000 Julia Child-themed trip to France. As they attempt to put an innovative and modern spin on Julia’s recipes using mystery basket ingredients inspired by her classic French dishes, the competitors use not only their culinary skills, but also their knowledge of what makes Julia Child so iconic. The chefs must live up to Julia Child’s legacy while being judged by a rotating panel of judges including Scott Conant, Susan Feniger, Amanda Freitag, Alex Guarnaschelli, Nilou Motamed, Michael Voltaggio and, from the Max comedy series Julia, actress and author Isabella Rossellini.
A special edition of 20/20 will air October 11 on ABC at 10 titled Israel at War: Living in Terror. World News Tonight anchor David Muir, who has been on the ground reporting all week, anchors the special from Tel Aviv. The special will also feature live reports from ABC News journalists who have been covering all the latest news and developments in Israel, including chief foreign correspondent Ian Pannell, chief national correspondent Matt Gutman and foreign correspondent James Longman. Chief global affairs correspondent Martha Raddatz and chief White House correspondent Mary Bruce will also report live during the special.
Docuseries Robbie Williams premieres November 8 on Netflix. The four episode series features up to 30 years of never-before-seen archive footage behind the star.
Pawn Stars Do America returns for a new season October 25 on The History Channel. The “Pawn Stars” are hitting the road again to visit some of America’s most exciting places in search of historical finds and impressive collectible objects. Each two-hour episode follows Rick Harrison, Corey Harrison and Austin “Chumlee” Russell as they step out of the World Famous Gold & Silver Pawn Shop in Las Vegas to connect with fans in cities around the country and acquire some of the most remarkable items imaginable.
The Garden: Commune or Cult premieres October 29 on Discovery Channel. On 22 acres of backcountry land in the American South lies The Garden – a community that lives by its own laws, free from the pressures of modern society. They maintain an open-door policy to anyone seeking to join their ranks, but new people must submit to an initiation period. Some barely last a week, others are forced to leave, and a chosen few will call The Garden home for good. Questions continue to arise about the cult-like vibes of the controversial community, but this spring is different. Cameras have been granted unprecedented access to The Garden, documenting its spread to new locations deep in the Ozarks.
Miniseries Mayflies premieres on Acorn TV October 30.
