Young Sheldon will be ending with its upcoming seventh season, set to premiere February 15 on CBS. The one hour series finale will air May 16. The Big Bang Theory prequel series centers on Sheldon Cooper, a once-in-a-generation mind capable of advanced mathematics and science, which isn’t always helpful in a land where church and football are king. And while the vulnerable, gifted and somewhat naïve Sheldon deals with the world, his very normal family must find a way to deal with him. It takes viewers through his childhood, as he embarks on his innocent, awkward and hopeful journey toward the man he will become.
FX has renewed Welcome to Wrexham for a third season. The series chronicles Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds’ efforts to return Wrexham AFC, one of the oldest and most storied football teams in history, to glory. The new season will premiere in spring 2024 on hulu.
Freeform has canceled animated comedy series Praise Petey after one season. Petey, a New York City “it” girl, has it all until her life comes crashing down around her. However, as luck would have it, a mysterious gift from her father gives her a new lease on life: She’s going to “lean into” modernizing his small-town cult.
Nicola Coughlan is set to appear in the upcoming season of Doctor Who. She will take a trip through time and space in the undisclosed role alongside the new Fifteenth Doctor played by Ncuti Gatwa. The series returns in November 2023 on Disney+ with three special episodes with David Tennant as the Fourteenth Doctor to coincide with the 60th anniversary. Ncuti Gatwa’s first episode as the Fifteenth Doctor will air over the festive period.
The CW has pulled Run The Burbs and Everyone Else Burns from the Thursday schedule. The new lineup will see Son Of A Critch continue to air at 8. Children Ruin Everything will move to 8:30. Repeats of Whose Line Is It Anyway? and The Great American Joke Off will air at 9:00 and 9:30. Everyone Else Burns was recently renewed for a second season, though no word on if it will be rescheduled down the line.
Pokemon Concierge premieres December 28 on Netflix. The four episode stop-motion series follows newcomer Haru, as she learns how to take care of the Pokémon guests at a peaceful resort. Along with Psyduck, the delightful trailer teases other beloved Pokémon such as Pikachu, Eevee, Dragonite, and Magikarp. As Haru figures out how to make her guests happy, she ends up discovering a new side to herself.
CMA Country Christmas returns with hosts Amy Grant and Trisha Yearwood December 14 on ABC. Filmed in Nashville in front of a live audience, the holiday special showcases one-of-a-kind musical performances of festive classics from Country Music’s biggest stars. The 14th annual special features performances by Jordan Davis, Grant, Lady A, Ashley McBryde, Jon Pardi, Lindsey Stirling, The War And Treaty, Zach Williams, Lainey Wilson and Yearwood.
Comedy Royale premieres November 28 on Netflix. Twenty of Korea’s hottest comedians come together to fiercely compete for a chance to host a Netflix show – delivering nonstop, zany laughter.
Sundance Now’s The Long Shadow will no longer be premiering on its previously announced November 16 date. The series will now make its debut in early 2024. The series starring David Morrissey and Toby Jones is a definitive depiction of the desperate five-year hunt for serial killer Peter Sutcliffe, better known as the “Yorkshire Ripper.” The true crime drama takes viewers back to the 1970s and 1980s to follow the victim and survivors of the infamous serial killer, starting when mother of four, Wilma McCann, is found murdered near her home in October 1975 – and a desperate cat and mouse game ensues.
Comedy special Kevin James: Irregardless will premiere this winter on Prime Video. The highly anticipated, family-friendly special delivers a hilariously unfiltered take on parenting, marriage, and getting older. As only James can, he covers a range of topics, from motivating children to put down their video games, to why he doesn’t trust technology, and how many Tater Tots he can fit in his mouth.
Tony Finau will be replacing Collin Morikawa as Pierre Gasley’s partner in The Netflix Cup live on November 14. Morikawa had to withdraw from the match due to injury but will still be a part of the live broadcast. Lando Norris & Rickie Fowler will take on Carlos Sainz & Justin Thomas; and Alex Albon & Max Homa will compete against Pierre Gasly & Tony Finau. They will play eight holes of match play, swinging through some surprise challenges, after which the top team from each foursome will compete in a playoff hole to crown a winner. Hosting the show live from Wynn Golf Club with colorful commentary expected, will be comedian Bert Kreischer, PGA TOUR player Joel Dahmen, sports host Kay Adams, and NFL legendary running back Marshawn Lynch.
The new season of Home Town premieres January 7 on HGTV. Starring home renovation experts Erin and Ben Napier, the series spotlights the couple as they bring new life to outdated homes and historical locations in their small town of Laurel, Mississippi, while navigating their busy family life. Ben and Erin will also spread Christmas cheer to some of their neighbors in a new HGTV special, Home Town Holidays. During the special, the pair will revisit past homeowners and grant their Christmas wishes with special handmade items.
Acorn TV has renewed Recipes for Love and Murder for a second season. When a woman who wrote to recipe/advice columnist Tannie Maria turns up dead, Maria and her colleague, rookie journalist Jessie, spring into action. They’re determined to solve the murder in their small South African town, to the annoyance of police detective Khaya. But will their investigation stir up too much trouble?
NBC has announced the performers set to appear on Christmas in Rockefeller Center November 29. Audiences will be enchanted by festive performances from Chloe Bailey, Adam Blackstone, Cher, David Foster, Liz Gillies, Darlene Love, Seth MacFarlane, Barry Manilow, Katharine McPhee, Keke Palmer, Carly Pearce, Manuel Turizo and more. Blackstone and Palmer, Foster and McPhee, and Gillies and MacFarlane will perform holiday duets while Cher, in addition to performing solo, will be joined by Love for a special song. In line with tradition, the Radio City Rockettes – the stars of the annual “Christmas Spectacular” at Radio City Music Hall – will wow viewers with a festive performance. Previously announced Kelly Clarkson will server as host and performer.
A Thanksgiving holiday themed episode of Made from Scratch will premiere on Fuse November 22. Join Mario and Courtney Lopez as they prepare their family Manicotti recipe while telling stories of their upbringing, dishing on Hollywood experiences from Mario’s connection to The Golden Girls, his first on-screen kiss, fun stories from his time on Saved By The Bell, how they fell in love, and most importantly, what family time means to them.
The 46th Annual Kennedy Center Honors will air December 27 on CBS. The Honorees include actor and comedian Billy Crystal; acclaimed soprano Renée Fleming; British singer-songwriter, producer and member of the Bee Gees Barry Gibb; rapper, singer and actress Queen Latifah; and singer Dionne Warwick. Additionally, former Kennedy Center Honoree (2017) Gloria Estefan returns as host, marking her third time hosting the special. In a star-studded celebration on the Kennedy Center Opera House stage on December 3, the 2023 Honorees will be saluted by today’s leading performers from New York, Hollywood and the arts capitals of the world, accepting the recognition and gratitude of their peers through performances and tributes. The event will also honor the 50th anniversary of hip hop. The Kennedy Center Honors recognizes and celebrates individuals whose unique contributions have shaped the way we see ourselves, each other and our world. Recipients have each had an impact on the rich tapestry of American life and culture through the performing arts. Whether in music, dance, theater, opera, motion pictures or television, each Kennedy Center Honoree has a unique place in the national consciousness and their influence has inspired audiences from all walks of life.
This Thanksgiving and Black Friday, Game Show Network will be running marathons of fan favorites and new additions. The marathons will feature Split Second and America Says, both hosted by John Michael Higgins, People Puzzler hosted by Leah Remini, Switch hosted by Jeff Hephner, and Family Feud hosted by Steve Harvey. Joining the Game Show Network staples is a run of Card Sharks, hosted by Joel McHale.
1000-lb Sisters and Smothered will air back to back on TLC starting December 12. This season on 1000-lb Sisters sees Amy and Tammy navigate big changes in their personal lives. Smothered returns with four new, two returning and one first time ever mother/son in law pairing.

Paramount+ has unveiled its “Tis the Season for Streaming” collection. The refreshed holiday collection offers more than 20 curated carousels and double the movies and specials. Paramount+ will make the season bright with a sleigh load of holiday programming, including the live stream of CBS events, such as the National Christmas Tree Lighting, The 25th Annual A Home for the Holidays, New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash and more. Paramount+ also will make kids’ holiday wishes come true with the streaming premiere of PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie (November 14) and Baby Shark’s Big Movie (December 8), an original fin-tastic movie musical from Nickelodeon. Paramount+ is also home to CBS Sports’ marquee matchups this holiday season, streaming some of the biggest games, including the NFL on CBS on Thanksgiving Day featuring the Washington Commanders at the Dallas Cowboys. NFL on CBS action also takes center stage on Christmas Eve with a live local market game, and on Christmas Day when Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs host the Las Vegas Raiders, streaming live on Paramount+.
