Anime series Blue Eye Samurai premieres October 27 on Netflix. Set in Edo-period Japan, the series follows Mizu, a mixed-race master of the sword who lives a life in disguise seeking the deliverance of revenge. The provocative and visually stunning cinematic series immerses the viewer in a world of vivid adult animation with a live-action edge. Voice cast includes Maya Erskine, George Takei, Masi Oka, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, Brenda Song, Darren Barnet, Randall Park, and Kenneth Branagh. Supporting voice cast includes Stephanie Hsu, Ming-Na Wen, Harry Shum Jr. and Mark Dacascos, among others. 

The English dub of 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, REALLY Love You premieres October 29 on Crunchyroll. Rentaro Aijo was rejected 100 times in middle school. He visits a shrine and prays for better luck in high school. The God of Love appears and promises that he’ll soon meet 100 people he’s destined to date. But there’s a catch—once destiny introduces someone to him, the two must happily love each other. If they don’t, they’ll die. What will befall Rentaro and his 100 girlfriends in high school?

Replacing Chef Chico premieres on Netflix November 24. When a head chef falls into a coma, it’s up to his devoted sous-chef to keep their Filipino fine dining restaurant from closing down.

The third and final season of The Tailor premieres on Netflix November 3. Peyami’s feelings for Esvet intensify, forcing him to make the difficult choice between their love and his lifelong friendship with Dimitri.

NBC will celebrate the winter holidays with music legend Barry Manilow’s A Very Barry Christmas December 11. The special will be filmed at Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino where he performs his smash hit show, “Manilow: Las Vegas – The Hits Come Home!” With a Vegas-size backdrop and Manilow’s renowned 24-piece band, the evening will feature the best of his greatest hits, including “Copacabana,” “Mandy,” “I Write the Songs” and “Looks Like We Made It” along with several holiday favorites such as “Jingle Bells,” “Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer,” “Feliz Navidad” and “White Christmas.” The evening may also include an appearance by Santa himself. 

Netflix has ordered Mercy for None to series. So Ji-sub returns to the underworld after 11 years, embarking on a ruthless mission of revenge triggered by the mysterious death of his younger brother.

Tribunal Justice has been renewed for a second season on Amazon Freevee. The court series features Judge Tanya Acker, Judge Patricia DiMango Judge Adam Levy as they handle cases. Episodes release weekly with the first season finale airing December 1. 

A Grammy Salute to 50 Years of Hip Hop premieres December 10 on CBS. Arrested Development, Big Daddy Kane, Black Sheep, Cypress Hill, Digable Planets, DJ Quik, E-40, GloRilla, Gunna, Jeezy, Juvenile, Latto, Luniz, MC Lyte, Roxanne Shanté, Spinderella, Three 6 Mafia, T.I., Too $hort, 2 Chainz, Warren G and YG have been added to the star studded lineup. Previously announced performers included Black Thought, Bun B, Common, De La Soul, Jermaine Dupri, J.J. Fad, Talib Kweli, The Lady of Rage, LL COOL J, MC Sha-Rock, Monie Love, The Pharcyde, Queen Latifah, Questlove, Rakim, Remy Ma, Uncle Luke and Yo-Yo. The special tapes Nov. 8 at the YouTube Theater in Los Angeles. 

LEGO Marvel Avengers: Code Red is streaming now on Disney+. In the animated special, The Avengers assemble to save New York City from the threat of the Red Skull and his Hydra forces. In the midst of the battle, the Avengers are unexpectedly joined by Black Widow’s father, Red Guardian, which doesn’t go over well with Natasha. After an argument with his daughter about his well-intentioned helicopter parenting, Red Guardian disappears under mysterious circumstances. As Black Widow and the Avengers investigate, they discover that the villainous Collector is kidnapping every character who has “red” in their name. 

Black Girls Play premieres on ESPN November 12. The series chronicles the origins of the hand games that have been played by young Black girls for generations, and their influence on music, dance, and community all across the American creative landscape. Tracing the beginnings of the games all the way back to the slavery era, the film’s collection of illuminating voices – including musicians, music educators and ethnomusicologists – trace a fascinating cultural history that explains the significance of hand games, particularly in the evolution of popular music from jazz all the way to hip hop. The film also explores hand games’ influence on style and individualism everywhere from the playground to TikTok videos today. And it also questions why so much of the popular culture to come out of hand games has been dominated by men, when young girls were its original creators. 

Thriller 40 premieres on Paramount+ with Showtime December 2. Forty years after the release of Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” – the best-selling album of all time worldwide – Director Nelson George takes fans back in time to experience the making of the record-breaking album and the release of the accompanying short films that forever redefined the music video format. Featuring never-before-seen footage and exclusive interviews, it chronicles the creation of a pre-internet global phenomenon unlike anything before it or since. “Thriller” launched Michael Jackson into mega-stardom and to this day continues to influence all aspects of culture and entertainment, including the worlds of music, dance and fashion. Music and entertainment luminaries including Usher, Mary J. Blige, Will.I.Am, Mark Ronson, Misty Copeland, Maxwell and John Landis are featured. 

Now and Then – The Last Beatles Song premieres November 1 on Disney+. The special tells the story of The Beatles last song featuring exclusive footage and commentary from Paul, Ringo, George, Sean Ono Lennon, and Peter Jackson. 

First Lady of the United States Jill Biden and former First Lady of the United States Laura Bush join Nickelodeon, ATTN: and iCivics to unveil Well Versed a new animated musical short-form series designed to help revitalize civic education for kids. The series aims to help teach kids about democracy and the U.S. Bill of Rights in fun and imaginative ways through original pop songs. With a curriculum guided by iCivics, the nation’s premiere non-profit civic education provider for students, parents and teachers, the series of 12 music videos will launch across Nickelodeon platforms, Paramount+ and Noggin, beginning November 1.
